North Loop

The North Luzon Loop is one of the three main Tourism Highways recommended by the Department of Tourism (DOT) for anyone who wants to explore the breathtaking sights of the Philippine countryside; the other two being the Pan-Philippine Highway (a 2,500-kilometer arterial road network from Manila to Davao in Mindanao via Bicol in Southern Luzon and Samar and Leyte in Eastern Visayas), and the Nautical Highway (which covers 919 kilometers of land and 137 nautical miles of sea travel through routes utilizing the RORO network of ferry terminals and vessels).

The Loop is the shortest of the three and involves inland travel throughout, making it a popular long-ride route for local bikers. There’s even the annual Iron Man Challenge for big bikers that require them to do the trip in less than 24 hours. But for a rider to truly experience the beauty of the countryside, we knew it would be best not to hurry.

On the 29 day of August 2009. Team Motoraza decided to take the north loop route. It was well planned. we've been on the road for almost 15 hrs. from manila to cagayan. and when we got to Cagayan we stay and rest for 1 night. The Cagayanians was truly accomodating. There hospitality helps to relieve stress and muscle pain. On the other day 30th day of August at 7 am, We start to travel again from Cagayan to Ilocos Sur/Norte until La union.it was almost 17hrs ride. We've been exhausted for a very long trip, so we spend the night at LaUnion Beach Resort. We Left Launion at 11:00am on the 31 day of Aug.and got home to Valenzuela by 10pm. It was a one Hell of a Ride. but i'm sure i will do it again someday. and when it come it's the best if we are not in a hurry.
